The new Peste Noire album, Ballade cuntre lo Anemi Francor has been released in Digipack format on De Profundi. Far from being another mimic of La Sanie des Siècles or Folkfuck Folie, Famine brings Peste Noire to new horizons where no Black Metal band has ventured before, yet remaining in typical Kommando Peste Noire fashion. Ballade cuntre lo Anemi Francor is nostalgia of ancient lore and a distant past. If Black Metal had existed in the 60s, this would have been it. Get ready to be pissed off.

After having received much praise in underground circles, Menace Ruine returned with The Die is Cast, a profoundly occult album based around the vocal style of Geneviève and the anthemic medieval music that touches more upon Neo-Folk and Darkwave than Black Metal. Somber tunes propelled by slow-paced martial percussion, ambient electronics and droning feedback are carried by an incredibly powerful vocal performance by Geneviève. Something inherently foul appears to run in the waters of the Friesland region of The Netherlands. After having spawned an offspring bearing the name De Magia Veterum, another creature emerged of a similar nature, but in a different manifestation. The Beast of the Apocalypse takes the torch of veteran Black Metal bands Beherit, Samael and Archgoat and bring forth an album divided into six acts that delve straight into the apocryphal texts of ancient times.

The tentative release date for A Forest of Star’s debut album The Corpse of Rebirth on wax is set for November 7. This groundbreaking album will be available in a very limited luxurious double-vinyl special edition and we have begun to take pre-orders as of today. The packaging for this DLP will be very unique and quite different from that of regular LPs. Since its release in 2008, The Corpse of Rebirth has received praise from fans and critics worldwide.
